A recent /P trip convinced me that I needed a quick deployment multiband vertical antenna. The 20M ‘squid pole’end fed half wave worked well but I wanted to use other bands. A trip to [...] It seems that my 3 band EFHW project has grown into a 6 band antenna. The cold weather has meant getting some projects finished including putting the matching unit in a box. It is all ready to be installed and last night I did some tests which showed that it will tune from 21 MHz [...] I have completed the Smallwonder SW+ 20,it is now in a diecast box and just needs the controls labelling. There is space for a keyer and the RIT which will come later. First contacts have renewed my interest in QRP. Like many others I have always thought that it was difficult to match the high impedance of an end fed half-wave to 50 ohms. Not true!
